[Chloe doesn't notice Max's delayed response. She's too busy asking the magic closet in her room for a pack of cigarettes (and a lighter, of course).

The closet finally gives her what she wants and she lights one cigarette before checking her phone again. Finally, there's good ol' nicotine in her system again. Chloe even feels almost normal at that moment, as if she was just back in Arcadia Bay, texting with Max through her worn-out cellphone.
