[This was probably a little out of the blue, but hey why not? A much younger looking Vira-Lorr who could easily have gotten carded at just about any bar was looking through the video. She was coping with the memory loss as best she could which meant that she was getting ample use of a new polaroid camera that had come in her basket.]
So, I just felt I should say this. You were positively adorable when you were younger, Max. [...] And if you're currently still younger you're positively adorable now and I want to get a picture while I can. I'm trying this thing called scrapbooking.
[Because damnit, she was not losing more memories.]
It seems so, though perhaps not under quite the same circumstances. That said you're still quite cute and I'd be happy to get another picture of the two of us.
[Her smile turns the tiniest bit forced.] Flatterer. [Or, more likely, Max doesn't take compliments well.] Where do you want to take the picture? Also, for the record, I'm glad young-me introduced you to the joy of photography.
A little. Guilty as charged, but you deserve a bit of flattery. Why don't we meet at the party in town? I've heard there is one going right now, after all. We could let go a little.
[She winked.]
I think a bit of scrapbooking is a good idea, in case something strange happens here and you forget your name for a week. Never know what might happen, and besides, I want something to remember all of you with.
[It's not even a question! When has Vira-Lorr ever known Max to be loose?
...And yet. And yet, she's already been planning to go to the party. In that outfit she got, even - the crazy one, that looks... Not ridiculous, no... Funny? Cool? Different.
It looks like not-Max-Caulfield.]
Why the sudden interest in preserving memories? Not that it's a bad idea. I'm just curious.
Except now I know and the jig is up. I'm going to double down on being shy. [It won't even be that much of a conscious effort.]
There was a diner in the place where I was before Deerington. The owner kept photo album of everyone who ever went. That way people would remember them.
[That seems like such a long time ago, now. She used to go to that diner almost every morning...]
...Does this mean I make it on the list of people you care about?
[She's half teasing, but also half serious, given the sincerity in her tone.]
Hah, very amusing. It won't do any good for escaping me, you do realize. [She smirked at her knowingly.]
Yes, that was exactly the sort of thing I was looking to do, that and scrapbooks. And yes, of course you ended up on that list. [Wink.] I would like to think that the two of us have spent a fair amount of time together after all, have we not?
We actually have. [...And yet, Max still hasn't found it in herself to tell Vira-Lorr everything about the sinkhole. Someday. Maybe. If she ever finds the guts.] Uh, I should grab a photo of you sometime, too. Although I have the one from kid-me.
I would like that, very much. [She grinned.] And perhaps we can spend some time just ... well, hanging out. A little bit of light stress relief is never bad.

At least you remember some things. Would you be up for a picture even if I'm past my adorable prime?

You know how the eggs have been playing with people's memories lately? It's made me not want to risk not knowing who I care about. Seemed sensible.
[Not entirely untrue.]
