(Eddie leaves a three boxes on top of Max's bed. The very top one is mint green and inside she'll find a whole assortment of sugar cookies. Eddie had worked painstakingly on them over at Bill's house. Instead of frosting for the lens part though he had attached Oreos as a little nod to when they had first really talked.
The next box is a pale blue one, flat, and inside is a soft t-shirt that he sincerely hoped she'd appreciate. Or groan about. Whatever both kinda work for him anyway. It's a perfect fit too because let's be real, Eddie's got a good eye for that sort of thing. There's a jacket in the box too with a small note of: Not sure if this is your style but I think it'll work with you. Plus it's gonna get cold soon and you'll want something warm!
The final box was black with white polka dots on it and topped off with a silvery bow.
A lil blue birdy told me it's your birthday so happy 30th. Or however old you're turning I dont know.
Enjoy the cookies. you're lucky i stockpile god damn everything. if you dont like sugar cookies then i guess you get to just enjoy the oreoes??

The camera's real special. An old friend here gave it to me when she vanished but I honestly have no idea how to use cameras and I think it might be one of those things you'd be able to use better than I can. I think it does something special and different than a normal camera but be careful. I trust that you'll take good care of it because you seem like you would be the type.

(Was it a lot? Eddie would never know. For him loving his friends didn't really seem to have a too-much or too-little scale. He just did. Max was now part of that all-or-nothing equation, and she had neatly placed herself into the 'all' category the night she had been waiting for Eddie after he had died.
Some things just built lasting friendships.)
